SenseTime Advances AI Education in Saudi Arabia, Accelerates Next Generation AI Talent Nurturing

November 30, 2022, Saudi Arabia – SenseTime today announced a collaboration with this year’s Global Conference for Giftedness and Creativity in Saudi Arabia. This collaboration can promote digital innovation among Saudi talent and create a roadmap for the future of AI, which aligns with the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 aiming for a digitally empowered society, as well as nurturing disruptive technologies.

 

As a leading global artificial intelligence (AI) software company, SenseTime has been developing its local presence in Saudi Arabia since 2018, including setting up a joint venture with Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF), aiming at supporting local talent and delivering innovative AI-powered solutions across the MEA region.

 

Based on its cutting-edge AI technologies and experiences, SenseTime has developed a systematic AI education program, offering a series of AI educational courses, learning materials and tools.

Together with Saudi Data & Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), SenseTime has conducted the Saudi AI Education Program, delivering a comprehensive AI curriculum for many teachers and students across the country. Popular AI topics such as computer vision and deep learning are covered in the program, helping participants to improve their interest in AI and develop their skills. With the program entering the next phase, both Arabic and English content, accredited by the Ministry of Education, will be provided. Extending to cover more levels of general education with plans to build AI labs in selected schools, the program will benefit more than 30,000 students and train around 2,000 teachers.
