SenseTime is the First AI Company to Obtain 3 International Security Management Certificates ISO/IEC 27001:2013, ISO/IEC 29151:2017 and MLPS 2.0 Simultaneously

SenseTime (the “Company”), a leading global artificial intelligence company, reached a significant milestone in its information security management and data privacy protection capabilities as the first AI company to obtain three international certifications simultaneously. These prove SenseTime’s high standards of information security management and individual identification information protection.

SenseTime has been certified with ISO/IEC 27001:2013 (“ISO 27001”) and ISO/IEC 29151:2017 (“ISO 29151”) certifications by the international certification authority DNV GL. Concurrently, it was also graded as Level 3 under China’s Multi-Level Protection Scheme (MLPS) 2.0 for cybersecurity.

ISO/IEC 27001 is the most authoritative, strict and widely recognized certification worldwide. To be admitted of such certification, a compliant must be able to safeguard the information security of both itself and its customers’ with the upmost standards requested by the authority. While, ISO/IEC 29151 is the universal standard on individual identification information protection, which SenseTime abides by to control and lower the risk of privacy breach during its operational processes.

China’s Multi-Level Protection Scheme (MLPS) 2.0 sets the basic principles and code of conduct for China’s cybersecurity. SenseTime is among the first batch of companies to pass the assessment since Chinese government’s implementation on Dec 1, 2019.
