The system is also used at the luggage security check area. It matches passengers to their own luggage directly through real-time facial and video analytics which helps to minimize mistaken collection of luggage. The system significantly cuts down the time for security checks which gives travelers the smoothest stress-free travel experience possible. The new advanced security systems boast a success rate of over 99.9% for passenger identification and verification accuracy, while the accuracy of the Person-ID (referring to the verification of passenger itself to his/her identity document) matching reaches 100%. The rate of complete single-passenger inspections has improved from 180 persons per hour to about 260 persons per hour, and the rate of baggage inspection has now reached 792 pieces per hour. This has overall efficiency and safety level of security inspection greatly improved, which help passengers save a lot of waiting time on inspection.     The fundamental AI education course developed by SenseTime provided new teaching materials, a new course syllabus, experimental learning platform, educational robots, plus laboratory and training services for instructors. To ensure suitable materials were used, SenseTime published the world’s first AI textbook for high school students -- Fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence (High School Edition) in April 2018. It has since been adopted by 40 high schools in Shanghai. In May 2019, SenseTime published the AI textbook in traditional Chinese as well, for students in Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau. SenseTime also developed the SenseStudy AI Experimental Platform, AI laboratory and educational robots based on its proprietary deep learning platform SenseParrots. Equipped with core AI capability, this hardware can be leveraged to develop in-class practice, homework, contests and for students to develop their own AI innovations.
