SenseTime Jianping Shi Listed on MIT TR35 China as a Pioneer in Technology Innovation

World-renowned technology magazine “MIT Technology Review” announced the 2018 edition of “Innovators Under 35, China”. Dr. Jianping Shi (aged 29), Research Director of SenseTime, is listed in the “Pioneers” category for her exceptional achievements in proprietary innovations in computer vision technology.


Dr. Shi started her research in machine learning during her undergraduate programme at Zhejiang University and had her first paper accepted by CVPR. Later on, she furthered her study for a PhD degree at Chinese University of Hong Kong. During the 4-year PhD programme, she published another 12 papers at top-tier conferences and journals.


As a Research Director at SenseTime, Dr. Shi oversees the R&D of the company’s autonomous driving technology.  Under her leadership, the team made numerous breakthroughs and eventually built a comprehensive autonomous driving system. The outstanding performance of Dr. Shi and her team has been highly recognized by Honda, our partner in the autonomous driving projects.
