SenseTime and PolyU Signed MoU to Jointly Advance AI Research and Application, Bolstering Hong Kong's AI Talent Development

November 8, 2022, Hong Kong – SenseTime has signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) for collaboration on research and development related to digital world technologies and autonomous driving applications.

The collaboration between PolyU and SenseTime aims to translate their joint research outcomes into applications to improve people’s daily lives. There are two research focuses under this collaboration: digital world related imaging technologies and solutions for different applications such as education, art and tourism; and high-performance collaborative edge computing enabling autonomous driving applications.

 

In cooperation with a leading university in Hong Kong, SenseTime furthers its dedication in fostering AI talents in Hong Kong, providing practical opportunities in the AI industry for students. Meanwhile, PolyU has leveraged its interdisciplinary research and innovation capabilities and teamed up with leading players in the tech industry to meet the needs of scientific advancement and social development. With this partnership, PolyU and SenseTime harness their academic and research expertise to promote digital world and AI technologies to bring benefits to business and society.  

 

Prof. Jin-Guang TENG, President of PolyU, said, “The signing of this MoU between PolyU and SenseTime signifies the determination of the two parties to work together to strengthen their research and development capabilities in AI-related technologies. Bolstering Talent Nurturing and Co-shaping Hong Kong’s Tech Ecosystem

On October 29 – 30, SenseTime participated in Innovating Hong Kong – Global Talent Carnival as a host partner to share our continuous endeavors, strategies, and outlooks on AI talents, and provide local and overseas young talents with various opportunities in the AI industry.
