Industry-Specific Large Model Benchmarks Accelerate AI Integration into Key Sectors and Everyday Life
At the 2025 World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC 2025), SenseTime's SenseCore, recognized as the "AI infrastructure that understands large models best", unveiled a series of landmark achievements. It continues to pioneer new paradigms in AI infrastructure development, driving the systematic implementation of industrial ecosystems and application scenarios.
Partnering with China Railway First Survey and Design Institute and the Urban Planning and Natural Resources Bureau of Shanghai Municipality to Accelerate the Integration of AI in National Development and the Community
At this year’s conference, SenseCore showcased a series of achievements in accelerating commercialized practices. Leveraging its industry-savvy large model service capabilities, it drives the deep integration of large models with vertical industries, enabling the application and deployment of AI technology in real-world scenarios.
SenseCore, in collaboration with China Railway First Survey and Design Institute (FSDI), unveiled the National Railway Value Engineering Multimodal Large Model Application Platform, the first application of multimodal large model technology in railway engineering design. By integrating heterogeneous data such as text, drawings, tables, and formulas, the platform constructs a unified knowledge base and professional reasoning model. It supports efficient knowledge retrieval, intelligent Q&A, document generation, and review, significantly improving design efficiency, quality, and safety while reducing costs and risks. This effectively addresses challenges such as knowledge loss and inefficiency in traditional "master-apprentice" knowledge transfer. Built on SenseTime’s self-developed language and multimodal large models, as well as the LazyLLM application platform, it enables private deployment and facilitates the intelligent inheritance and application of railway design knowledge, setting a new benchmark for AI-driven "knowledge engineering" in the industry.
The Shanghai Urban Planning and Natural Resources Bureau officially released the Cloud-Cosmos Industry Foundation Large Model, with SenseCore playing a key role in its development. Serving as an intelligent hub, the model deeply integrates data from territorial spatial planning and natural resources, including academic materials, policies, technical standards, and approval records. It is able to understand and analyze multimodal data such as satellite imagery and planning drawings. This enables semantic-level comprehension for various business scenarios, accurately identifying planning objects, analyzing spatial relationships, and interpreting management rules and planning intentions, thereby providing intelligent support for related tasks. SenseTime provided an integrated solution, including the WanXiang large model service platform and the SenseNova multimodal large model, offering full-process capabilities from model training and scenario adaptation to capability orchestration.
Partnering with Chenghai District, Shantou City to Jointly Build China’s First "AI + Toys" Industrial Base
On July 29, SenseTime officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Chenghai District People's Government of Shantou City, Guangdong Province, to jointly establish China’s first "AI + Toys" industrial base and promote the deep integration of artificial intelligence with the traditional toy industry. Su Jianzhong, Standing Committee Member of the Chenghai District Committee and Deputy District Head, and Yang Fan, Co-Founder, Executive Director, and President of the SenseCore Business Group of SenseTime, attended the signing ceremony as representatives of both parties.
Shantou's Chenghai District, renowned as the "Toy and Gift Capital of China," is home to over 60,000 toy manufacturing and trading enterprises, with an annual output value exceeding 50 billion CNY, which occupies half of the domestic market share. In 2024, the district's creative toy industry achieved a scale-above-industrial output of 14.091 billion CNY, marking a 5.2% year-on-year growth and demonstrating robust expansion momentum. In recent years, the district has further solidified its competitive edge in local culture, original IP development, and design innovation.
This collaboration represents an innovative integration of artificial intelligence with traditional manufacturing. Leveraging SenseTime's SenseCore AI Infrastructure and large model systems, combined with Chenghai's robust industrial foundation, the partnership will drive the digital transformation and intelligent upgrading of Chenghai's toy industry across the design, production, marketing, and consumer experience. By jointly establishing an "AI + Toys" application innovation hub, the initiative aims to help Chenghai pioneer a new global paradigm for intelligent toy manufacturing.
Under the agreement, both parties will adopt a "Three Centers + Ten Platforms" development framework to create a new industrial engine for "AI + Toys," incorporating thousands of innovative solutions into the digital transformation of the toy industry.
AI + Toys Solution Center: Built upon SenseCore AI Infrastructure's solution capabilities, this center integrates software, hardware, and content ecosystems to create a one-stop AI solution platform for tens of thousands of toy manufacturers in Chenghai, delivering "out-of-the-box" readiness.
AI + Toys Industrial Development Center: Centered on AI computing and platform empowerment, it provides a trinity infrastructure of efficient and stable computing power, large models, and applications. This supports value-added services such as AI-enhanced experiences, AI-powered customization, and AI training camps, forming an end-to-end, one-stop AI industrial upgrade service loop.
Chenghai (Shenzhen) Innovation Aggregation Center: This dual-location center establishes an industrial operation base in Chenghai and an industrial integration base in Shenzhen. By attracting ecosystem resources, including leading enterprises, tech talent, investment institutions, and branding partners, it accelerates the formation of the "AI + Toys" ecosystem and fuels the growth of Chenghai's toy industry.
Building upon these three centers, the two parties will jointly establish ten innovation platforms covering "solution innovation, technological innovation, process innovation, material innovation, foundational talent cultivation innovation, mid-to-senior management advocacy innovation, investment and financing innovation, IP innovation, operational model innovation, and marketing innovation". These platforms will incorporate thousands of innovative solutions into the digital transformation of the toy industry.
This strategic collaboration will not only facilitate the deep-rooted development of the "AI + Toys" industry in Chenghai but is also poised to become a "Chinese benchmark" for intelligent transformation in the global toy industry. Moving forward, both parties will continue to deepen their cooperation, exploring more possibilities in "AI + Manufacturing" to propel China's traditional industries toward a new phase of high-quality development characterized by digitalization, intelligence, and globalization.
