Dilma Rousseff, President of the BRICS New Development Bank and former president of Brazil, visits SenseTime
On September 14, a delegation led by Dilma Rousseff, President of the BRICS New Development Bank (NDB) and former president of Brazil; Duncan, Chairman of the NDB Board of Directors and Director-General of the National Treasury of South Africa; and Ms. Chang Junhong, Chinese Director and Director-General of the International Financial Cooperation Department of China’s Ministry of Finance, visited SenseTime’s Shanghai Office. The delegation also included board members and senior management from NDB member countries, including Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Egypt, and Bangladesh, as well as Ms. Shen Hong, Deputy Director of the Shanghai Municipal Finance Bureau. The purpose of the visit was to[conduct an in-depth inspection of SenseTime’s achievements in artificial intelligence (AI) technology R&D and industrial application.
Xu Li, Chairman of the Borad and CEO of SenseTime, hosted and accompanied the delegation, engaging in in-depth discussions. Through a combination of technical sharing and scenario-based experiences, the delegation gained a comprehensive understanding of SenseTime’s AI innovation ecosystem, which is driven by its three-pronged strategy of "Large Model + SenseCore + Application".
At the SenseTime AI Experience Center, Xu Li briefed the delegation on the latest advancements of the "SenseNova" large model system. Leveraging self-developed computing power, long-term data accumulation, and breakthroughs in key technologies such as "text-image interleaved chain-of-thought", the newly upgraded SenseNova integrated large model has achieved significant improvements in deep reasoning and multi-modal information processing. Meanwhile, "SenseChat", SenseTime’s interactive platform, has pioneered an interruption-resistant real-time interaction mode by integrating multi-modal information such as images, voice, and text. The duration of multi-modal real-time interactions has increased by 510% this year, bringing a more natural and stable experience to human-machine communication.
The delegation led by Rousseff also experienced SenseTime’s "Wu Neng" embodied intelligence platform on-site, allowing them to gain an intuitive understanding of real-time human-machine interaction driven by multi-modal large models.
SenseTime also shared its explorations and practices in three areas: green AI, ethical governance, and inclusive empowerment, expressing its commitment to promoting AI that serves society in a responsible and sustainable manner. For example, at SenseTime Lingang AIDC—the first 5A-level intelligent computing center in China—SenseTime has collaborated with partners such as CATL to establish the "AIDC Computing-Power-Electricity Synergy Platform". This platform deeply integrates energy large models, dynamic computing power scheduling, and new energy storage to achieve efficient "on-demand computing power supply and on-demand energy supply" matching. It not only significantly improves energy efficiency, but also provides a practical, replicable and promotable solution for green AI infrastructure.
Since its inception, SenseTime has regarded globalisation as one of its core strategies. Currently, the company’s operations cover more than ten countries and regions in Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, and beyond, with long-term partnerships established with multiple leading overseas clients. In the future, SenseTime will continue to accelerate its globalisation efforts, bringing intelligent technologies "Made in China" to a broader international stage.
