SenseTime and Cambricon Reach Strategic Cooperation

Recently, SenseTime and Cambricon Technologies Corporation Limited (hereinafter referred to as "Cambricon") signed a strategic cooperation agreement for a new development stage that focuses on advancing the joint optimization of software and hardware and jointly building an open and mutually beneficial industrial ecosystem.

The two parties will leverage their respective technological and industrial resource advantages in their fields to carry out multi-level and long-term in-depth cooperation around the construction of artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure in China, vertical business development, and technology globalization, and jointly build a more forward-looking and inclusive AI development ecosystem.

This cooperation actively responds to China’s national "AI +" strategic deployment. Combining SenseTime’s leading capabilities in large model R&D, AI infrastructure platform construction, and industrial applications, as well as Cambricon’s deep expertise in intelligent computing chips and computing power infrastructure, it aims to promote the formation of a new generation of AI development paradigm in China featuring software-hardware synergy, and help enhance the independent innovation capability and ecological influence of key links in AI.

Based on intelligent computing power and AI large model technology, the two parties will jointly explore a stepwise product innovation system with software-hardware synergy, promote the intelligent transformation of industries, and jointly cultivate high-growth innovative enterprises through ecological empowerment. Through this strategic signing, the two parties will strive to achieve large-scale and replicable commercial cooperation outcomes.

In terms of chip adaptation, the two parties will actively advance the compatibility  of the latest models of software and hardware products and jointly create service solutions for the computing power market.

In terms of all-in-one machine solutions, the two parties will focus on vertical industry scenarios such as enterprise services, closely integrate their respective software and hardware capabilities, and develop all-in-one machine solutions for vertical fields.
