Dual Breakthroughs in Multimodal Large Models and Embodied AI

In his keynote speech titled "Merging Language and Spatial Intelligence: A Pathway to the Future of AI Paradigms," Prof. Lin Dahua, Co-Founder and Chief Scientist of SenseTime, noted that despite the acceleration of AI industrialization, the industry still faces key challenges such as reliability, professional data, spatial understanding, and cost. To address these issues, SenseTime has achieved breakthroughs in current technological limitations through foundational innovations, including the Native Vision-Language Model, cross-view predictive training paradigms, and the high-efficiency SekoTalk inference system. These innovations significantly enhance the models' spatial cognition and real-time interaction capabilities, transitioning large models from "AI for X" to a deeper integration of "AI in X." This enables a closed-loop integration between intelligent agents and scenarios, ultimately advancing towards a next-generation human-computer interaction paradigm that deeply merges with the physical world and enables continuous self-evolution.

As AI enters the “era of large models”, embodied AI and world models have become hot topics in the industry. During the forum’s roundtable discussion, Dr. Wang Xiaogang, Co-Founder and Chairman of ACE ROBOTICS, engaged in an in-depth dialogue with Prof. Luo Ping, Assistant Director of the Data Science Institute of The University of Hong Kong; Mr. Yu Chao, Founder of Lumos Robotics; and Mr. Li Hongyang, Assistant Professor and HKU Head of the Autonomous Driving Laboratory at Shanghai Innovation Institute. Together, they explored key technological challenges in world model research and development, as well as the robot ontology capabilities. The consensus was that embodied AI will progressively achieve breakthrough applications in scenarios such as industrial manufacturing, professional services, and home companionship.

Notably, Dr. Wang Xiaogang announced at the forum that ACE ROBOTICS will officially debut on December 18, unveiling a series of word-leading technologies and products, including Kairos 3.0, China’s first open-source world model that is already being used in commercial applications. By collaborating with industry partners, ACE ROBOTICS aims to establish an integrated “models, hardware, and ecosystem" industrial landscape, jointly advancing the next-generation embodied-AI industry.

AI Deeply Empowers Industrial Intelligence Upgrade

AI is evolving from a "tool that enhances efficiency" to a "strategic partner that reshapes business models," propelling enterprises into a new phase of profound transformation. The forum invited numerous experts and industry representatives from the field of AI to engage in in-depth discussions on cutting-edge AI technologies, industrial integration, and future trends. It aims to explore ways to achieve breakthroughs in intelligent technologies and transformation pathways for enterprises, and together, outlining the blueprint for the future industry driven by AI.

Dr. Edward Tse, Founder and CEO of Gao Feng Advisory Company, moderated an industry panel titled "The Impact and Significance of AI Development in the Large Model Era for Enterprises," facilitating in-depth conversation with several enterprise representatives. Focusing on three angles: strategic integration, industrial transformation, and cross-industry collaboration, the panelists discussed how enterprises can deeply integrate AI into core operations, address transformation challenges, and outline a roadmap for constructing new quality productive forces and a new industrial landscape driven by AI.

During the discussion, Mr. Jeff Shi, President of APAC, SenseTime, emphasized that SenseTime's APAC business has served nearly 500 clients since its establishment six years ago, with 70% of them continuing to work with us. Moving forward, SenseTime will continue to leverage its original AI and solutions to persistently empower clients across APAC and accelerate the region’s industrial intelligence upgrade through localized strategic deployment.
