SenseTime Marks Launch of its 10th Scholarship Initiative Fostering Undergraduate Talent in Cutting-Edge AI Research

2026-03-23

SenseTime (0020.HK) today announced the launch of the 2026 “SenseTime Scholarship”, now open for applications from undergraduate students in the Chinese Mainland and Hong Kong who are studying technology-related disciplines and aspire to pursue research in artificial intelligence (AI). The program will award up to 30 scholarships, with each recipient receiving RMB 20,000. Awardees will also be given priority access to SenseTime internships or summer research programs, together with one-to-one research mentorship from professional advisors throughout their undergraduate studies.

Marking its 10th anniversary this year, the SenseTime Scholarship continues to support the development of the next generation of AI talent. Guided by a rigorous selection process focused on excellence, leading AI experts each year identify outstanding candidates from a nationwide pool of applicants. Since its inception, the program has supported more than 250 high potential young scholars. Hong Kong is home to SenseTime’s headquarters and its key R&D centre. Through its scholarship program, SenseTime is fostering local AI talent and enriches the city’s talent pool.

This year’s SenseTime Scholarship will award up to 30 undergraduate students, with each recipient receiving RMB 20,000. Awardees will be granted access to largescale computing clusters and extensive data resources, supported by full guidance from leading AI research teams. Additionally, recipients will be given priority consideration for internships and employment opportunities at SenseTime, take part in joint laboratory summer research and advanced study programs, and participate in company visits and academic exchanges. They will also have opportunities to engage directly with SenseTime scientists and senior engineers to broaden their research interests and explore future directions. Onetoone research mentorship will be provided throughout their undergraduate studies.

In addition, the program will include a podcast series, a 10th anniversary academic forum, and a summer camp culminating in an award ceremony, providing highquality platforms for learning, dialog, and academic exchange.
